CCH is looking for an individual to fill the role of Registered Dietitian during a LTE basis starting April 15, 2018-August 17, 2018. The RD will be responsible for providing Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) using the Nutrition Care Process, including nutritional screening and assessments of infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, pregnant/lactating, and geriatric patients with a variety of medical conditions as a member of the interdisciplinary care team....

Job Description:

Provides contracted nutrition services to Columbus Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, functions as an inpatient clinical dietitian and an outpatient RD for Columbus Community Hospital, and completes other core functions as necessary. Participates in holiday and weekend On-Call procedures and responsibilities as assigned. Represents the hospital at health fairs and community outreach and participates in various committees as assigned. Participates in developing and updating procedures, protocols and departmental policies. Communicates with written, verbal and face to face methods with patients, families, physicians, RNs, and other members of the health team. Works with the Food Service staff to provide quality meals to meet the preferences and therapeutic diet of the patient. Completes and develops departmental quality improvement reports. Completes productivity reports and submits them for benchmarking purposes. Facilitates compliance with The Joint Commission, state and other regulatory agencies related to nutrition care. Demonstrates professional responsibilities and competency as a registered dietitian. Collaborates with the Diabetes Services program in leading classes along with curriculum development as assigned. Recognition of and attention to the nutrition needs of patients. Complies with health and safety standards and guidelines.

Preferred Skills:

Graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics or related field. Completed an accredited intern program. Valid certification in the State of Wisconsin as a Dietitian (CD). Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Commission on Dietetic Registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD). The RD is responsible for completing, documenting and submitting all required continuing education credits for maintenance of credentialing.
