Columbus Community Hospital is a 25-bed acute care facility offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services. A Board of Directors comprised of community leaders and physician representatives governs the hospital. In addition to its 240 employees, a group of over 100 volunteers provide valuable services to the hospital in a variety of areas. Philanthropic support is provided through the Columbus Community Hospital Foundation which was established in 1989.
We offer inpatient services, diagnostic services, home oxygen therapy, and Lifeline Personal Response services.
Our Emergency Room is staffed 24 hours a day by Madison Emergency Physicians. These specialists, who work expressly in emergency medicine, are all board certified in emergency medicine. Urgent Care services, also staffed by MEP, are offered 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekends and holidays.
We serve a population of about 27,000 with our service area including Columbus, Fall River, Rio, Waterloo, Marshall, Sun Prairie, Reeseville, Lowell, and other surrounding communities. Emergency transport services are provided to our hospital by a private carrier, LifeStar, as well as the Med-Flight Helicopter Service from Madison.
Columbus Community Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).
