Communications Specialist - Communications FTE: PRN/0.0
POSITION SUMMARY: This position serves as the initial hospital contact for telephone and two-way radio calls received via the Voice-over IP (VoIP) Attendant Console, TDD telephone, Lifeline, and ambulance radio. The Communications Operator is responsible for routing telephone calls and facilitating communication with staff and the general public in emergent and non-emergent situations. THIS POSITION SERVES AS THE PRIMARY SOURCE OF COORDINATING INFORMATION IN DISASTER SITUATIONS. This position is able to operate a variety of equipment proficiently including the Attendant Console, overhead paging system, (emergency) telephone, TDD phone, ambulance radio, and microcomputer equipment. During periods of off-peak activity this position is responsible for obtaining and recording necessary information for patient registration or admission to the facility; and, for preparation and data entry of department charges. The Communications Operator communicates with the public regularly to provide information and directions upon request.
REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent highly preferred. Basic word processing proficiency required. This includes the ability to: generate basic memos; utilize form letters; and, generate professional-appearing notices and e-mails. Typing speed of 45 words per minute and above average mouse navigation skills required. Basic level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel (or other spreadsheet software) preferred. This includes the ability to: create and utilize daily and monthly logs; create summary reports; insert simple formulas; and, manipulate the design and appearance of worksheets. Previous customer service experience required. 10 key calculator experience preferred. Previous experience with multiple phone lines preferred.

Registered Nurse - ICU FTE: 0.5
POSITION SUMMARY: The Intensive Care Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the patient care team. The RN provides nursing care for adults and elderly through physical, psychological and social assessments and then formulates a nursing diagnosis, and develops an individualized plan of care. The RN manages, organizes, and provides direct patient care to complex critically ill patients incorporating clinical decision-making and prioritization of activities. Education of patient’s family and other health care team members is provided by the RN, incorporating health maintenance, disease process and discharge planning. May be required to work on other units according to the distribution of staff and patients and individual competency. REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Baccalaureate degree preferred. Valid nursing license as recognized by state of Wisconsin. Current CPR. Current ACLS or obtain within 6 months of hire. A minimum of one-two years of experience on a Medical/Surgical unit or an equivalent. CCRN preferred.
HOURS: PM's and Nights, every other weekend and rotating holidays. |

Occupational Health Specialist - Occupational Health FTE: PRN/0.0
POSITION SUMMARY: The Occupational Health Specialist works independently and in conjunction with other hospital employees to assist with programming needs. Builds relationships with, and markets to area businesses. Participates in strategic planning and marketing activities and guides occupational health program. Promotes health and safety at various organizations outside of hospital.
POSITION SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS: Coordinates a quality occupational health program. Works directly with businesses to assess needs. Schedules or performs services needed by businesses. Assures an individualized industry based record keeping system. Completes quarterly quality surveillance on programs. Assures smooth and timely process of services. Assures currency of policy and procedures. Documents on client programs accurately and in timely manner. Establishes customer services standards for area businesses providing feedback to employees. Assures compliance with OSHA laws, ADA requirements, and hospital policy. Coordinates occupational health exams under supervision of M.D. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of an associate degree in a health care profession. CPR Certified. Computer literate. Current WI Drivers License.
HOURS: Monday thru Friday as needed to fill in for vacation, sick time and in times of high volume. |

Physical Therapist - Rehab Services FTE: 0.1
POSITION SUMMARY: The staff Physical Therapist is responsible for providing direct patient care to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations through the use of evaluation methods and techniques, exercise, equipment, and physical agents to improve strength, balance, coordination, range of motion, and to decrease pain to restore a patient’s optimal mobility and functional ability, as well as provide education for the prevention of further injuries.
REQUIREMENTS: Doctorate, masters degree or baccalaureate degree in Physical Therapy from a fully accredited physical therapy program. Valid Physical Therapy license in the State of Wisconsin. CPR certification. Computer knowledge is preferred. Experience in clinical physical therapy preferred.
HOURS: Variable day shifts during the weekend with some weekends hours possible. |
