In April 2004, Columbus Community Hospital opened its new Emergency Room and Urgent Care facility. The over 14,000-square-foot facility features a comfortable waiting area with a children's playroom, private exam rooms, trauma rooms, a decontamination area, a double-wide ambulance garage, and in room registration.
Columbus Community Hospital works closely with local and neighboring EMS professionals to provide high quality Emergency care to you and your family. When an accident or unexpected illness occurs, you want a nearby, accessible healthcare facility, where medical professionals are ready to respond to your needs. Here at Columbus Community Hospital our Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our Emergency Department physicians and nurses, who are trained in Advanced Critical Life Support (ACLS) and the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), work as a team to provide the quality of care and personal touch you and your family will need.
Our Urgent Care services are available 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekends and holidays. Urgent Care is defined as those needs which are not life threatening, but need attention at times when your primary physician is unavailable or your physician's office is closed.
