News :: Grief Support Group Offered
The process of grieving the loss of a loved one is long and painful. Often the feelings experienced are frightening and confusing to the griever. Many people find they have no energy for performing their usual tasks of daily living. Others engage in a whirlwind of activity in an attempt to escape their painful thoughts. There is no right or wrong way to grieve, and no prescribed length of time.
Columbus Community Hospital and Hillside Home Care and Hospice are offering a grief support group Tuesdays, July 21 – August 25, from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. in the Columbus Community Hospital Diamond Room. The six weekly sessions offer a supportive group of people to talk to, as well as ideas and resources for working toward a healthy resolution of grief.
Meetings are confidential. Attendance at all six sessions is required. To register call the CCH Patient and Family Services Department at 623-1281. If calling after office hours, please leave your name and phone number.
