Columbus Community Hospital will host a Walk in the Park on Tuesday, May 10, 5:30 p.m. at Fireman’s Park in Columbus to benefit the Columbus Area Senior Center equipment loan closet.
The equipment loan closet provides medical equipment, such as walkers, wheelchairs, canes, toilet raisers, bath and shower seats, commodes, and reachers on a loan basis at no cost to members of the community.
Each participant is asked to make a $20 donation to enter the walk. The entry includes a one or two-mile route walk in Fireman’s Park, a sub sandwich supper, and a t-shirt. Free blood pressure screenings will also be offered. Proceeds from the CCH Walk in the Park will be donated directly to the Columbus Area Senior Center to purchase items for the loan closet. To participate in the 2011 Walk in the Park, stop by Columbus Community Hospital or the Columbus Area Senior Center to pick up an entry form.
Columbus Community Hospital organizes the Walk in the Park each year to benefit a local cause. For more information about Columbus Community Hospital and the Walk in the Park, call the Community Relations Department at (920) 623-1280.
