The CCH Foundation hosted its 6th annual Chicken Shoot at the North Bristol Sportsman’s Club on Saturday, August 14. Sixty-eight shooters competed and raised over $2,000 for CCH.
A chicken shoot consists of a group of shooters competing against each other in trap shooting. The winner of the round or grouping wins a frozen chicken or frozen pizza. Participants also took part in raffles and a silent auction.
Funds from the event are dedicated to purchase new CCH Wellness Center equipment. The CCH Wellness Center is used for community exercise classes such as yoga, pilates, and the Strong Woman Program.
Brandon Wikman, a three-time Iowa Intermediate Turkey Calling Champ and host of The Next Generation television show on the Outdoor Channel, as well as “Wik’s World Outdoors Camp,” was present at the event to talk to area youth.
